Well timing issues I'm seeing are on very short clips/playlists,
including the sample non-h264 mp4 clips that come with DSS. I don't
have any longer clips yet.
Using VLC to watch the playlists,results in a segfault after some time
which the VLC developers think may be caused by the sdp file being
incorrect.
Using mplayer I have yet to see a crash, but the audio is about 1
second behind the video.
QT player is not an option for our platform.
I know the above is hardly conclusive, but there are a lot of
variables to test between DSS, VLC, mplayer, and file encoding. I've
tried many of them, but have not made any progress yet. Basically I
just want to be able to use playlists and live streaming under DSS
with either VLC or mplayer. Something is up, but I don't know enough
about RTSP/SDP etc. to pin it down.
