This being a streaming list, I assume you are referring to Google's great
hardware and software offerings in the streaming/encoding space? Or maybe
their content distribution network? Or their media player software? Funny, I
can't seem to find a lot that Google does in this space, other than letting
people find video content encoded/stored/streamed from elsewhere.
Maybe you mean we can use Google to find information about running servers
and supporting ourselves. In that case, I agree they are great, but come on,
in this arena you can't even put them on the same page as Apple or any of
the other server vendors, or software developers, who work with streaming.

But if you're getting a platform
for *QuickTime Streaming*, I'd also argue that a commercial vendor-
supported solution for said task (QTSS) might be in order depending
on the importance of your project. Some might even consider that
worth extra dollars.
