Flash and RTSP

Yesterday, I came over http://medias.lemonde.fr/mmpub/edt/zip/20051101/133924/index.html . The binary Flash metafile is http://medias.lemonde.fr/mmpub/edt/zip/20051101/133924/video.swf ,
the corresponding movie is http://medias.lemonde.fr/mmpub/edt/zip/20051101/133924/vid.swf .

This still seems to be what Macromedia calls "progressiv download", dont know why they write the http streaming cache to the harddrive, mplayer doesnt do this (but you can have "progressiv download", watching movies while they download, with mplayer too, depending on available bandwidth, the size of the movie).

You can also buy their probably very expensiv "Flash streaming server", however it is called.

Can we do it with RTSP as well?

And, the old Emily Postman "One Click Streaming" problem, Flash is as vendor and platform independent as MPEG Audio Playlists (m3u) etc, I once had some chinese software to create mp3.swfs, is there any open source or whatever software to create basic video.swfs, metafile or not, hopefully including rtsp://bla/bla.mp4s etc??

Vendor and platform dependent metafiles and market power.

Best, H.
