Well,

Indeed, even automatically behind NAT (after some time nothing),

Well, I have tested the brand new 0.8.4 version of VLC and it now _does_ play
H.264 encodings from QT Pro over DSS 5.5.1, using QT 7.3 on OS X 10.4.3.

but I get strange sync problems with

rtsp://gurke.bootlab.org/casah264.mp4 ,

that streams with Ciscos open source MPEG4IP mp4player nicenst,

and, well, VLC shows a rather strange behaviour with MPEG Video Playlists (m3u is hardcoded).

Btw, I have the same strange very, very weird video problem, it jumps somehow, with

http://gurke.bootlab.org/~uzs106/bla/schnee.mpg ,

and I dont have sound in rtsp://gurke.bootlab.org/sample.3gp (AMR).
