Time-sensitive content

Hi All,

I am having troubles getting time-sensitive content to work properly. We have an event coming up where we want a "commercial" (or picture) that says the actual start times of the event but we want to use the same URL so that if someone arrives early to the event, they get the "commercial" and then the event starts up when the event time arrives.

The problem I have is that the movie we made from a picture doesn't transition well (there are "Warnings" [Yellow triangle with an exclamation point in the middle] when we start the playlist and only the first movie in the playlist will play) with the actual movie we want to show.

We have tried some cron jobs that stop the playlist, swap a playlist file, then start the playlist again but that's where we noticed the Warnings. We also thought about a PHP page that will redirect you to different playlists or files (.jpg) depending on when you hit the link but then you won't automatically start the movie when the event time arrives.

Does this problem description make sense? I imagine someone else has tried this but I can't find anything in the manual or on Google searches.

Any hints are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Paul
