You can detect this by looking at the log files; google searches on your posted descriptions of your streams
can also be interesting.

I've had this happen a few times. With only very few exceptions, the "thief" has acknowledged the source and provided a link back to us. In the small number of cases where that wasn't done, I've asked for them to clearly list the source of the video with a link to its original location. There's only been one truly nefarious incident where the naughty people actively tried to scrub our ident bug from the corner of the stream. That's the only "take down" notice I've ever sent and they complied. I look at it as free advertising. :)
