Users and groups settings problem?

I've installed Fedora Core 8 in order to run DSS, and when I install DSS, everything works fine initially.

I am able to enter the web admin and test the server and it works for streaming.

However, when I reboot the system, then nothing works. Once I reinstall then it works again until I reboot again.

I use terminal and cd to /usr/local/sbin/ and try entering "DarwinStreamingServer" in superuser mode.

I then receive the error "command not found"

Predictably, "streamingserveradmin.pl" does not work as well.

Just to be sure, I have checked with ls command, and I am positive that I'm in the right directory because those files are in fact there.

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that my issues relate to users and groups settings.

I check "User Manager" and DSS install has created a user named "qtss"

QTSS has some astersiks that appear greyed out in the password field.

Also, the "Home Directory" field states "home/qtss"

And "Login Shell" states "bin/bash"

There also exists a group named "qtss"

I hope that I have provided enough information with my query, if not please let me know.

So does anyone have any idea of what my issues may relate to?

Thank you very much

Amanda
