Authentication in DSS and QuickTime
I am trying to set authentication in DSS 5.5.1 and
QuickTime 6.5.1 in Windows XP OS.
The problem is, when I try streaming by the QuickTime,
The QuickTime is asking for the user name and password
but its not authenticating the users. Its again and
again asking for the username and password. And in the
QuickTime Username and Password enter box, Its not
displaying the “Enter username and password from
Nata:”. It is displaying the default message not
my customized message.
I have created the “qtaccess” file in my
movie folder. The content of the
“qtaccess” file is like below:
AuthName "Enter username and password from Nata:"
AuthUserFile "C:\Program Files\Darwin Streaming
Server\qtusers"
AuthGroupFile "C:\Program Files\Darwin Streaming
Server\qtgroups"
Then I have created the users with
“qtpasswd.exe”. Those files are stored in
the below folder.
C:\Program Files\Darwin Streaming Server\qtusers
C:\Program Files\Darwin Streaming Server\qtgroups
Pls Help.
