Hi,

It all depends if you want live streaming or just file streaming.

In one case, you will need something to stream to DSS, like quicktime broadcaster or wirecast.

In the other, you just have to put your movies where DSS (or QTSS) can find them (on a local disk, or SAN, or NAS...).

Quicktime PRO will help you make the movie ready for beeing streamed, but is not mandatory. You have many other software to "tag" the movie so it can be streamed.

I am currently using RealProducer to do HTTP streaming of small movies. I have searched the Apple website and cannot find answers to the following:
1. How do I post a movie using QuickTime so when the user clicks, it plays without having to download first?
2. Is there anywhere I can try QuickTime Pro without having to purchase it so I can see if it works?
3. I need to resize my movies to be 16:9 aspect ratio. Does QuickTime allow that?
I have found the website not very accommodating for answers.
In the past I have been less than satisfied with other products and got into hassles trying to get my money back so I want to make sure QuickTime will do what I need.
Can anyone help me?
