My site has video on demand via Darwin Streaming Server. Generally, I
encode CBR 300Kbps. I'd like to add a 40Kbps video alternate. This is
easy using MakeRefMovieX app. The problem comes when I add a text track for my chapters to the reference movie. Once I do this, I cannot save the changes (the computer beeps). Instead, I have to "save as" and overwrite the file. That is no big deal except for the fact that it apparently dumps one of the alternates. Depending how I have Quicktime Preferences set for connection steep, I will see one or the other alternates. When I overwrite the reference movie after adding the text tract, the other alternate is no longer referenced. How should I change my procedure so that I can have a reference movie with alternates for different connection speeds AND a text track for chapters? Thanks, Cris --
