I just thought I would share my experiances thus far with dual boot.
We use a custom made web based PHP/SQL management system for our computers...we then use NetBoot and NetRestore to boot computers and image them. I have also now added using a program called winclone to the mix, which makes excellent self extracting Windows images. It creates a bundle that you can put on a server volume and it automatically goes to /dev/disk0s3 when you call it from the shell...
/path/to/bundle/myxpimage.winclone/winclone.perl --self-extract
so my pre-action script divies up the HD for dual boot, then NetRestore lays down the defined config, and the post-action does it's thing, then calles the winclone bundle to install.
If you sysprep the windows image correctly, then you have a Windows image that can be basically put on any Intel Mac.
I am rather impressed with the use of free programs, and the support offered by both authors of NetRestore and Winclone.
A true testiment to the OSX using community and the power of the OS.
