Use hfstar instead of tar

Has anyone tried a tar in /, then went to an empty partition, and untarred the data? I'm curious if it will boot.

Only if it's an UFS volume will this work, and we all know the issues involved with UFS volumes.


I do use hfstar to backup / and restore w/o any problems on HFS+ volumes.
