Hi everybody,
My application use a standard mouse for normal graphic user interface and a
wheel trackball for a 3D precise input in 3D images (XY with ball, Z with
wheel).
On MacOS 9 everething is perfect, I use the USB/HID manager and I can take
total control of my trackball leaving the mouse for normal use.
I can do this easily through the HIDDispatchTable.
Of course I want to move to MacOS X and the thing seems more difficult. I
have downloaded HID samples codes and as far as I can see, HID Manager does
not see my trackball since it is a "mouse like" device directly handled by
the system.
I do not see any solution to take the control of my trackball at my
application level.
Should I write a kernel extension ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
