Hi Anthony,
Unfortunately, the HID Manager doesn't support USB mice and keyboards in
10.1.x. These devices are tied directly to the old IOHIDSystem and are
not of type "IOHIDDevice". This explains why the matching iterator did
not contain any objects.
We are currently transitioning support of these device to the HID
Manager. For 10.2, you can expect to at least be able to grab the mouse
in your iterator. Supporting keyboard events has presented a few
issues, and most likely will not be supported in 10.2.
