Re: CSS page content moves

Hi

thanks to those kind folks who pointed out the scrollbar entering the page was the cause of this, much appreciated.

Cheers
Gary

clicking from a page with a 3 column layout to a page with a 2 colum layout
the "container" which holds all the page info shifts to the left about 10

column layout). This issue is not happening in IE6 on Win XP or in IE7 on
Vista. Has anybody come across this before and what is the best way to work
around this problem.

Gary,

are you sure it is not the appearing scrollbar which forces the content to
the left?

This had often fooled me in the past as i hardly noticed, that due to too
much content for the window size, Safari or any other Browser had to display
a "Scrollbar" which of course pushed the content to the left.

This always looks terrible when switching between pages with and without a
scrollbar, but unfortunately, Safari can't display the scrollbar to the
right of a window to circumvent this as it then might just drop on the floor
;-)
