Re: Your Web Development Process?

http://www.imarc.net/communique/view/337/ what_programs_do_you_use_for_web_development

I use BBEdit + Firefox (with Firebug extension) for almost everything.

Safari has the debug menu turned on and I use the Javascript error console. I also use SafariStand since it lets me modify page source and apply it immediately

I use VMware Fusion with 2 WinXP VMs (one with IE6, another with IE7) and a Windows Vista VM.

I use the DevToolBar within IE.

I'm just writing to ask for input on your web development process when writing and testing JavaScript. Do you use tools like DreamWeaver, Eclipse, Coda? Do you use a text editor like Xcode, TextMate, jEdit or BBEdit? If you use a text editor for development and happen to get syntax or other errors in a browser which testing, do you manually open the file on question and goto/search for the line manually each time? Do any of you use tools which verify your syntax before running your webapp?

Thanks,
Philip
