Re: Safari 2.0 and overflow:auto

Got it the first time. The only thing I can think of is that the button may not work if it's invisible? If it's scrolled out of sight, the browser may calculate that it's not to be acted upon. Just a guess. Can you post this somewhere non-facebook so we can look at it? Have you ruled out facebook as a potential variable in this issue?

Resending as I'm not sure this was delivered to the list!

I've developed a website and on one of the pages is a form.  This form consists of two scrollboxes, two freetext fields, and a submit button.  The scrollboxes both use the overflow:auto CSS property.  When this property is set, the user can't press the submit button without first scrolling to the bottom of each of the scroll boxes.

This only happens in Safari version 2.0  on the Mac and does not happen in Safari 3.0 or in Firefox.

I've googled for hours and hours to find a solution for this but to no avail!  This is a known bug but I didn't find a workaround that doesn't require Javascript (and JS isn't allowed).

This is the page--http://apps.facebook.com/superlative.  Warning--Facebook account required.

And here's the CSS for the contianer:

.notable_container {
  padding: 10px;
  height:250px;
  width:580px;
  font-family:\'lucida grande\',tahoma,verdana,arial,sans-serif;
  overflow:auto;
  border: 1px solid #C0C0C0;
}

Your help is appreciated!
Suli.
