Re: Safari features

Hi,

I know that Webcore is only a part of Safari, but this was the only place I could to think to start.

Does anyone know where feature requests/suggestions can be made for Safari? Maybe there's a developer paying attention who can direct me please?

This isn't really the right forum for your feature requests/ suggestions. The right place for those is http://bugreport.apple.com

But since yours is easy to address...

While I'm here, I may as well explain...

With all these new metadata items in every file, it'd be really great to see any files saved by Safari to have a property which describes the source URL of the file. Under Panther I was manually putting the URLs into the Comments of all my saved files (particularly PDFs), and found this to be incredibly useful. With metadata flying about everywhere in Tiger, I was hoping that 2.0 (412) would have this feature already. :-)

Safari already does this. Downloaded files have the Where From metadata property added. You can see it in the Get Info window of the Finder under General.

Maciej
