I understand that Safari (as of version 2.0) does not support MathML.
Are there any plans by Apple to add MathML support?
If not, I would be interested in adding MathML support to Safari.
I am the author of a MathML display and editing control for the MS .net
environment,
if interested, you can see what it can do at:
http://numerator.sourceforge.net.
I am interested in porting over this MathML rendering logic to integrate
with Safari.
My question is would it be better to develop this as a plugin, or integrate
it in directly
into WebCore?
My question is if I get this working will in WebCore, would Apple accept
these contributions?
Also, I am not sure how well a plugin would work, as MathML inside HTML is
included inside a
set of <math></math> tags, how would Safari know that this is MathML and
invoke the
plugin?
Thanks.
