Sure, a method like this one will return an autoreleased object.


the documentation policy is to not document the memory management issues in a specific method unless they are an exception to the overall memory management rules that are common to all Cocoa frameworks (which is documented).

if you find a place that this is not the case, then I think a bug should be filed on the documentation.. (and probably on bugreporter.apple.com rather than the WebKit one.. although Darin may have his own input on this)
