Flash will look at the URL of the file into which it's embedded and
won't call out if they're not the same domain. It also has some
special security for file:// URLs.
We do the same kind of thing; we had to write an NSURLProtocol that
fooled flash into thinking that it, and the HTML page it was in, were
both http:// from the same domain... regardless of where they really
were.
