[Solved - kinda] Re: WO 5.2.2 - Getting an app to launch - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

1st off, I would like to thank everyone that gave me input on this topic. Your support was excellent. Thank you. Everyone was basically right on the money. The issue boiled down to having JVM 1.3.1 only prior to upgrading to Panther.

I would like to confirm Kieran's note below. If you do not upgrade to 1.4.1 prior to installing Panther as an upgrade, you will most likely have similar issues.

My solution was to start from scratch, skip the upgrade and begin with a fresh Panther installation. I followed Apple's installation instructions (Panther, then Xcode, then 5.2, then 5.2.2). The system works great. I was able to Clean, Build and Run my 5.2.1 apps without any issues.

If you haven't given Panther a try, it is quite sweet, an excellent new revision.

Thanks again,
George
