apache fop and Logger

Java 1.4.1

I am using something like this:

import java.io.*;
import org.apache.fop.apps.*;
import org.xml.sax.InputSource;
import org.apache.avalon.framework.*;
import org.apache.log4j.*;

to background a method to render a .pdf document.

I would like to know,
(a) which .jar is used to get me to this statement:

    driver.setLogger(logger);

and how to set up

Logger logger = ...

I am getting error messages on various configurations.
