Hi Can some one tell me how I can display a progress bar and show the progress as some long query gets executed at the back

You can do this by starting a new thread that performs the actions that are slow, and then reports back to your page object when its finished. It also has to report the progress. The page should auto-renew , using the same page object. Mail me off-list if you want a code example, or check the example in /Developer/Examples/JavaWebObjects/LongRequest/
