Re: Dev Environment Gone Haywire: Java Client Optimistic locking failure on every save

That exception should be the result of a DB operation. Enable SQL logging and find which UPDATE statement is failing. Then try to isolate which column(s) are not matching the DB.

Have you updated anything recently (OS, Java version, JDBC driver, plugin, WO version, valueType in EOModel)?

Suddenly, my entire Java Client development environment went haywire. Every save throws an Optimistic locking failure. Even in brand new projects. I've tested this over and over. I've restarted the database (MySQL), even the physical server. I've used fresh EOModels with just two objects. I've tried everything short of reinstalling.

Has anyone ever seen this before? I'll try re-installing as a last resort.

Jaime
