Re: scroll wheel weird behavior

You are not alone. This is a known issue. Unfortunately I cannot comment on when the fix will be available.

I installed Tiger this morning and now the scroll wheel on my mouse is acting strangely. And only in x11. I never installed any drivers for this mouse, it just worked; I'm not even using 3 button emulation because the wheel is also a button.

Now I can't scroll a line at a time like I can with Panther, or in any of my other applications. If I try to scroll slowly, nothing happens. It acts like there is a speed threshold and only then will it respond, by scrolling a bunch of lines at once and often all the way to the top of the scroll buffer. There is no way to control how much it scrolls, which is very annoying.

I've tried fooling with various settings in the mouse control panel, but nothing seems to make a difference. Any ideas?
