Hi all,
I have question about how to add font path to apple's X11. I want to
install a bitmap font (which is wqy-bitmapfont, can be downloaded
from http://wqy.sourceforge.net). I have done the following:
1, Extract the entire tgz to /usr/X11/lib/X11/fonts dir
2, cd /usr/X11/lib/X11/fonts; mkfontdir wqy-bitmap
3, fc-cache wqy-bitmap
4, xset fp+ /usr/X11/lib/X11/fonts/wqy-bitmap; xset rehash
5, xlsfonts | grep wenquanyi
After the five steps listed above I can see the font listed by
xlsfonts. So I add the font path to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs/config. Now
the catalogue section in the config file looks like:
After I restart the X11 server, the font I have installed previously
disappeared. I am confused! How can I add a font path to Apple's X11
permanently?
Regards!
