Fwd: Rendering 3D models over X session

Thanks for the reply,

VTK supports backface culling, but forcing the parameter doesn't fix the problem.

The only machine that is having trouble displaying the 3d model is the iMac, other computers in my department running Linux have no issues. The application is being run from one computer, but displayed on others.

Does anyone know of any OpenGL rendering issues, or what rendering options I can control on the X11 Server running under OS X 10.4?

cheers

alex

Sounds like one of your graphics boards has 'back-face culling" (off) or has a "Z-buffer" or "Depth Buffer"

The application probably doesn't set the culling on cause who ever developed it probably didn't have that hardware feature.

Look into those terms and see what you can find.
