Indeed. It took me a whole while to figure out that changing the OS's IME
has no effect on X.
But for me my other wish is to allow also the reverse: viz. to use an X11 IME
for aqua apps. Apple's traditional Chinese IME is so broken that it would be
a huge improvement if we could just use scim for aqua apps.
