Looks pretty much OK. Your xinitrc (that I sent) seems to have lost a byte
somewhere along the way; probably a final newline, which shouldn't be an issue
(we'll see what happens next). But you have an extra .xinitrc in
/etc/x11/xinit. I don't think it's your problem, but it would be wise to get
rid of it before running X11 again:
cd /etc/x11/xinit
sudo rm -f .xinitrc
ls -la
Now try running X11 again and tell us what happens.
