Ok, I am so embarrassed. I recently added a second video card to host my
new projector, which is off. All new windows were being spawned on this
other desktop. I am an idiot.  For some reason, this reply caused me to
think of this, so indirectly, you fixed my issue!

Thanks so much! I was going NUTS with this!
