I have now downloaded glib-2.12.0 and tried to compile. It told me
that I needed to have pkg-config installed. so I then got pkg-
config-0.21 and installed that. When I retried to install the glib
it still says that pkg-config is not found.
Is there some search path I can change or add to the ./configure to
allow me to do this?
pkg-config was probably installed in /usr/local/bin, which is not in
the default path. So try adding /usr/local/bin to your path. If that
still doesn't work, you'll have to figure out first where it did get
installed.
