This might not be the right group for this question, since the X11 that came with my IMac distro (os x version 10.4.8) seems to work fine. I'm just curious why standard stuff that comes with a linux distribution isn't with my distribution software.

such as
'cc' and 'make'

i have fink commander running, but without cc (or some working c compiler), I'm crippled.

If anyone in this list can help, or just point me to what list I should address this question to, please respond. --Mike email@hidden
