Re: problem with X11 applications



Are you starting the application with the X11 terminal or the normal terminal (Terminal.app or iTerm)?

If you are not using the X11 terminal, then you have to do the following for a normal terminal:

export DISPLAY=:0.0

X11 must also be running, obviously.

You can add the export line to your .profile and it will always execute when you open a terminal.

Could it be a display problem? I've previously run a patch to be able to have a dual screen config with my system.
