I am not certain that XVideo acceleration was ever supported by X11
server on OSX... if anyone knows differently - I would LOVE to head
about it...

On my MacBook Pro (Interl Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz, 3 MB RAM, ATI X1600
graphics card) running tiger 10.4.9, the xvideo extension of Apple's
X11.app
is loaded, but does not appear to be functioning.

Issueing the command "xvinfo" yields
     X-Video Extension version 2.2
     screen #0
      no adaptors present

Unfortunately, I do not remember whether the situation was
different before the update from 10.4.8 to 10.4.9, because
I did not need xvideo then.

Does anybody else have this problem? I saw one related message,
by "leon zadorin" dated 19 Mar 2007 with subject
"xvideo in X11 server on OSX...", reporting the same problem.
