I agree completely too. Autostarting the X server is already giving
some "illusion" that X11 is now a real part of OS X. It's just a little
(philosophical) step to push it back further into OS X proper (at
least UI-wise) and make it officially a "non-application", IMHO.
(Kind of like System 9 support back when it still existed.)
