This is a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. I've cobbled and manipulated my stuff so much that I don't know the 4.0 answer anymore. I am trying to setup X11 on my wife's iMac. I setup some PATH and other stuff in a ".bash_profile" file, but it doesn't seem to get read when a new xterm window is opened in X11. I tried putting it in ".profile" with the same poor results. Where can I put these custom statements so they'll be initialized every time I open an X11 session, XTerm within X11, Terminal, and everything else. -- Chip |
