Although the "new" X11.app lacks some features found in the old X11.app,
and adds some new bugs, I sincerely believe that the new opportunity for
community involvement in its development will result in a vastly
improved X11.app.
thanks for the background ben, it is very helpful to understand how we
ended up here.
while I think we can all acknowledge and appreciate the benefits we'll see
moving forward, ideally we'd have a working bridge to get us to the point
where the new code base is stable. as it has been demonstrated today, it's
a pretty important piece of code for many, that needs to work.
that bridge, even if it is running X11.app from tiger, is perfectly fine
from my standpoint - it just needs to be packaged up nicely. any help you
can offer from that perspective would be appreciated!
