Have you tried removing your X11 preferences?

1. Make sure X11 is not running.
2. In Terminal run: cd ~/Library/Preferences; mv com.apple.x11.plist com.apple.x11.plist.old
3. Run X11.

Do you have a .xinitrc file in your home directory? If you do, could you post its contents?

What did you copy from your PB to your MBP?

        I'm a constant x11 user and after finally upgrading to MBP, my X11
crashes either at startup or as soon as I try to ssh somewhere.
Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I get 5 minutes.  I tried downloading the
X11 pkg, but when I try to install it it says there is X11 already
updated.  I deleted the app alone (no libs just the .app) and tried
that, and still no install.  I extracted the .app from the
Archive.pax and dragged it and X11 is still broken and crashes.

        Please, someone help me :(
