Hi Li,
That's a great answer, never heard about it. works perfectly on my mac.
I still have problem setting all want I want on my linux pc though.
After putting
XTerm*charClass:  ... to my .Xdefaults
and even doing xrdb -load .Xdefaults  xterm still does not paste as it should but keeps the old defaults,

This is controlled by the XTerm's charClass X resource (see the manpage of
xterm). Try googling for "xterm charclass".
