I assume this is something that has been changed in version 2.3? I was
able to use X11.app and a separate X window server in this manner
without issues previously. The second X window server was start with
Xquartz and did not invoke X11.app.
I have tried using Xephyr but it has the incredibly annoying behaviour
of requiring space to be pressed twice in order to get a single space
to register. The behaviour is the same as reported in ticket #81 for
milestone 2.2.1 for Xnest and that has been marked as wontfix. This
issue makes Xephyr unusable for me.
