My bug #6184567 relating to the shifting windows is now marked as
duplicate of bug #5880329
Ted Fawcett writes it's a known issue and "currently being
investigated by engineering".
Guess my "vote" has been counted. Normally, not searching for existing
bugs and adding comments to those are considered bad etiquette.
Incidentally, somewhat off-topic, I tried Crossover Games for a few
things, and as it uses a pre-1.0 version of Wine (and whatever tweaks
they use), it works a lot better than stock Darwine and without
migrating window issues. Poser Figure Artist still doesn't fully work,
though, but Tomb Raider: Legend sure does (with minor 3D rendering
issues). Sometimes I do wish I was a developer so I could work on some
of these things, like a nice interface for Wine for Mac, similar to
Crossover, and incorporating something like Trix (winetricks) into a
real integrated interface with bottle manager etc. Trying to get stock
Wine to work is a major pain, as it is difficult to know which dlls or
settings are required and whatnot.

Please see http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/ticket/130 and
report this at http://bugreport.apple.com as well. I'd really
like to get this fixed, but as I mentioned in the previous email,
we're pretty much blocked on bugs in upstream (in this case
meaning frameworks developed by other teams at Apple).
Please let me know the radar number, so I can mark it as a
duplicate and count your "vote"

Reporting bugs on Apple's bugreporter requires an ADC membership.
Charging money to report bugs in their products seems pretty
hairbrained to me, and is not an option for me, I'm afraid, as I'm
not a developer, cashed-up or otherwise.
No, you don't need to pay to report bugs. Click on the link that
says "ADC Membership is required to sign in", then click the "Join
now" button under "ADC Online Membership" (free).

James Mckenzie writes: I will agree and XQuartz 2.3 may or may not
fix this. This is supposedly fixed in Wine, however. I'm waiting on
Darwine 1.1.3 to confirm if this fixes it for the Mac."
It's not fixed in 2.3.
