No, Spaces thinks that any one application should have windows in only
one space --- so whichever space you first started the app in, it will
take you back to when you click on the dock icon.  This would be
reasonable if I'd assigned the app to just one space, but I haven't.

It seems though that turning off workspaces-auto-swoosh brings it a lot
closer to usability.  Many thanks to Tom Scogland for that tip.

Yeah; that's the *only* way to do it with workspaces-auto-swoosh on,
and I find it pretty awkward.
