Well, I came from not bare Tiger but Tiger with VisualDesktop Pro, which
did a whole lot to provide the multiple-virtual-screen behavior that
I'd been used to under various Unixen. The current Leopard+X11 2.2.1
environment is notably better than that in just one way: copy/paste
between X11 and Mac apps seems more consistent (though I still feel like
I shouldn't have to explicitly type command-C ever, when I'm selecting
in an X11 app). In most other ways it still needs work, though I must
salute Jeremy on his industry on fixing things.
If you weren't using virtual screens under Tiger then I think you'll
find the current Leopard environment to be a net step forward. There
are a lot of things that are better, some worse, some just different...
