matlab & X11

Hi all,

I have a question about Matlab, X11, and dual monitors. Wwhen I start up Matlab, it tries to remember where the various windows (e.g. editor and shell) were last located. If I last used it on the external monitor, and then try to run it on my laptop without the external monitor, Matlab places the windows where it thinks they should go, and that is off-screen and I have no way to drag them back to the visible desktop. Is there some flag I can set in the X11 system to prevent windows from being placed in a non-viewable place? Thanks...

Dave
