Re: old transparent yellow cursor bug reappears on Tiger X11

Is there any particular reason you're still using the Tiger server? The only remaining regressions over Tiger are 256-color support and fullscreen support. If you don't need those, I'd recommend moving to 2.2.1 ... if you do need those, then you'll have to wait patiently a bit more (sorry).

The OS updates will clobber your Tiger X11 just like it will our X11. You will need to reinstall X11 after patching your OS.

As for the yellow cursor issue, that was fixed in 10.5.2... what version of OSX are you using?

I noticed in the last month or so that the old "transparent yellow cursor"
bug in the Tiger X11 (when running clients on a remote machine) has
reappeared on my MacBookPro. My colleague also had the same problem on his
Mac Pro. I suspect that one of the security updates has replaced the Tiger
X11 server that we had patched to remove the bug. Is it OK to reapply that
same patch from two years ago? I suppose that we will lose whatever security
improvement, but the transparent yellow cursor is nearly impossible to use.
