I wonder what sort of IT guys you have that let you use rlogin in the 21st century! Seriously though, it sounds like the setting of the DISPLAY variable in your linux cshrc file is overriding the ssh assigned version. Either that or the sshd on linux is specifically not allowing X11 forwarding.


When sshing into a remote linux box, if you type echo $DISPLAY it should show something like:

localhost:10.0

Try commenting out the place where it sets up the DISPLAY variable in your linux .cshrc and see if it works.
