Re: 10.5.3 and X11



It may appear as though the version has not changed, but the simple version information from the "About" dialog is not a safe assumption that everything is in sync. Re-installing the X11 package after upgrading to a new Mac OS X release is the proper method about ensuring the correct versions of both the X11 server and client software are installed.

FWIW, the 10.5.3 update did not seem to overwrite xquartz; leastwise it still claimed to be 2.2.1 afterwards. I reinstalled x11 anyway to be safe.
