It's been my experience with Xcode 1.5 that its Subversion support works for committing changes to source files, but just about every other function doesn't work correctly. (Yes, I have filed bugs.) No matter what SCM system you use, I'd recommend using a dedicated client program rather than Xcode; I like CVL for CVS and svnX for Subversion.
