Thanks for spotting that - looks like my problem comes from the IBM XL Fortran .pbcompspec in the same place. That file certainly did work in 1.2.

Please file bug reports for these if you can <http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter>. While none of these specifications are "fully documented and supported", we know people use them and we've endeavored to keep them compatible from release to release. If we broke something, we really want to know.



Just to finalise this, it was actually the XLC .pbcompspec that was causing the problem, not XLF.
